Tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen

The menu is in the top-right corner. Tap Add to confirm.

That's it. Use that icon from now on instead of opening Chrome directly.

Has to be Safari. Chrome on iPhone won't work for this.

The default browser that came with your iPhone.

Tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen

The share icon is the box with an arrow at the bottom of Safari. Scroll down in the sheet and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.

Use that icon from now on. Opening from inside Safari won't give you alerts.
